Aston University Bioenergy Research Group (BERG) is a worldwide acclaimed University based research group that specialises in fast pyrolysis of biomass for heat, power, biofuels and renewable chemicals. In addition to extensive facilities for fast pyrolysing biomass in fluidised and ablative fast pyrolysis reactors up to 5kg/h there is an extensive suite of analytical facilities including Py-GCMSFID, TGA, GPC, Karl Fischer, etc. BERG also has extensive experience in technical and economic assessment of bioenergy and biofuel systems that will be utilised in this project.
